We’re home! We arrived yesterday. We’re a little tired, but oh, what memories we will treasure from this vacation. Alaska, Vancouver, and Seattle were amazing! We had amazing experiences and saw incredible sights. I’ll post some photos soon.
While we were away our new bedroom furniture was delivered. Much love and thanks to our daughter, Sunshine, and her hubby for driving out to oversee the delivery. In a few days our new mattress will also arrive and we’ll start sleeping upstairs in the master bedroom for the first time. In the meantime, I’ll be putting things away in the bedroom and shopping for bed linens.
We ordered the furniture in mid-May from Foothills Amish Furniture in Landrum, SC. We picked the style, the wood (cherry), the stain color, the hardware, and it was built to our specifications. We chose a bed with underbed storage drawers to increase the amount of available storage in the master bedroom. In addition to the bed, we ordered a dresser, a chest of drawers, and two nightstands. The size of one of the “standard” dressers was modified to fit our available space.

Even without the mattress and bedding, I am loving this furniture. I LOVE the look of the darker finish against the wood on the walls!
