Our Christmas Table

The centerpiece for our Christmas dinner tablesetting was simple, yet elegant. Three DIY mercury glass hurricanes each holding a strand of battery-operated fairy lights, three mercury glass pillar candle holders, and a faux pine garland intertwined between all these elements sit atop a script-printed table runner.

I purchased this fabric at the end of last year’s Christmas season and made the table runner this year, right after Thanksgiving.

For Christmas dinner, I added a solid red tablecloth. I used Madeline dinnerware from Pier 1, stainless flatware, and simple footed goblets from Pier 1. Ecru cloth napkins with flowers embroidered in a red metallic thread complete this tablesetting.

This was a table perfectly in keeping with my K.I.S.S. (keep it super simple) philosophy this holiday season. But simple doesn’t mean that it can’t be elegant!
