Spring is in the air! As the weather warms and nature is reawakening all around Our MT Nest, it’s time to bring touches of spring inside. My early spring decor features eggs, bunnies, birds, and blossoms.
One of my absolute favorite decor principles is to include some live elements. I like to incorporate flowers and/or plants in every room. Nothing is more “springy” than beautiful spring blossoms. This petite hydrangea looks adorable in a white Ikea flower pot sitting atop a Pottery Barn spring-themed cupcake pedestal.
Faux magnolia blossoms in a recycled glass vase on the top of the hutch are flanked by chippy plaster birds.
This centerpiece violates my customary principle which is to keep the height of the centerpiece below eye level so diners can converse with others across the table with unobstructed vision. Actually, when I put this centerpiece together, I selected a short tulip plant. It was less than half as tall as it is now. I had no idea it would grow so much taller!
A vase with more tulips and a whimsical ceramic bunny “basket” that holds chocolate eggs grace the end of the kitchen island.
I love bringing these touches of spring into our home. After Easter, some of the bunnies will hop back into storage and the spring decor will evolve, but for now, I am enjoying the items that give a nod to Easter.
